Wat gaat er precies mis? Zoals het nu is zal er geen A-schijf zijn omdat deze pas wordt gedefinieërd nadat Pro-Gen is opgestart. Probeer het eens als volgt:

mount C /home/alver
mount A /media/floppy0
c:
cd pg30
pro-gen

Geachte heer, mag ik nogmaals op uw kennis beroep doen? Ik probeer het opstarten via het dosbox-0.73.conf configuratiebestand te automatiseren. Ik heb volgende commando’s ingebracht maar helaas, tot nu toe zonder resultaat:

mount C /home/alver
c:
cd pg30
pro-gen

mount A /media/floppy0″

Wat doe ik verkeerd?? Het toetsenbord instellen in dit bestand gaf wel resultaat.

a very interesting article! I stumbled across it recently as I have a keen interest in environmental responsibility for managers. This story resonates with me because I held the exact same position (director city infrastructure) for an urban municipality in Melbourne a few years ago, and I can relate to the often competing pressures of getting a job done within tight timeframes/budgets and the requirements / costs of doing the right thing environmentally and for the community. Your analysis is spot on. Thank you. (You even quote one of my papers, so there…)

Hallo, Je kunt inderdaad ook het lokale dosbox.conf bestand gebruiken. Ik maak liever een kopie hiervan zodat ik makkelijker een backup kan maken van alles. Als je een diskette in je Ubuntu laptop doet dan is deze meestal beschikbaar onder /media/floppy0 waar je diskette te vinden is. Je kunt deze dan in DOSBox met het bekende commando mounten (mount A /media/floppy0). Als je dit wederom in je dosbox.conf invoegt dan loop alles vanzelf. Peter

Geachte heer, ik ben er, na verder zoeken, in geslaagd mijn frans azerty klavier te laten werken in DOSBox. Ik denk dat ik op een dwaalspoor was met de vorige bestanden: het is eenvoudiger dan dat. De installatie van DOSBox creëert een configuratiebestand in /home/alver/.dosbox (let op het puntje) met als naam dosbox-0.73.conf . Dit bestand kan met gedit worden geopend EN bewerkt zonder speciale rechten. In dit tekstbestand moet keyboardlayout=auto (bijna op het einde van de tekst) vervangen worden door keyboardlayout=fr en dan werkt het toetsenbord perfect. Ook in het opgestarte Pro-Gen kan ik dan normaal werken, oef! Maar … er is dan een nieuw probleem(pje). Op het einde van een Pro-Gen sessie wil ik alles opslaan op een 3,5″ diskette zoals ik onder XP doe, het commando A:\ wordt in Ubuntu echter niet herkend. Hoe krijg ik mijn back-up op een diskette??

Beste heer Vereecken,

Je kunt dit oplossen door je aangepaste dosbox.conf bestand op te slaan in je Pro-Gen map en dan, zoals hierboven beschreven, het automatisch opstarten als je DOSBox aanroept.

Over het toetsenbord, ga naar deze pagina: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Keyboard. Snelheid kun je verhogen door de ‘cycles’ variabele te verhogen. Maak het echter niet te hoog anders gaat je pc aardig warm lopen. Experimenteer een beetje.

Geachte heer, ik vergat nog te vermelden dat mijn Toshiba een frans toestel is met een azerty klavier. Ik heb bij de Xubuntu installatie als taal nederlands opgegeven en het toetsenbord als frans ingesteld en dat werkt perfect, alle toetsen worden herkend en werken.

Geachte heer, bedankt voor uw spoedig antwoord. Ik ben er intussen, na verder experimenteren, in geslaagd Pro-Gen aan de praat te krijgen in Xubuntu (ik draai Linux op een oude Toshiba laptop, die wil ik meenemen naar het archief). Het geheel draait traag maar dat is mogelijk in te stellen. Het grootste struikelblok blijft het qwerty toetsenbord in de DOSBox. Het mounten en de juiste commando’s inbrengen was al een probleem maar werken in Pro-Gen met qwerty is zo goed als onmogelijk. Ik heb intussen gevonden dat ik het toetsenbord (dat onder Linux normaal draait, ik schrijf er deze tekst mee) moet/kan instellen via het dosconfig bestand (/usr/share/doc/dosbox/dosconf.example.gz/dosbox.conf.example) maar er is een probleem van rechten. Ik kan het bestand wel naderen als enkel lezen, maar dan kan ik niets aanpassen. Enige raad misschien??

p.s. Ik ben nog maar net van Windows XP verhuisd naar Linux en mijn kennis is zeer beperkt. In XP is het aanpassen van een bestand zoals dosbox.conf. een fluitje van een cent.

Eerst moet je de hele Pro-Gen map naar je Linux pc kopiëren. Je moet de situatie van je windows PC emuleren. Dus als Pro-Gen daar op C:\pg30 staat dan dien je de map waarin Pro-Gen in Linux staat als C: te mounten. Bijvoorbeeld: Mijn Pro-Gen staat in /home/peter/Documents/pg30. In DOSBox heb ik dan een C-schijf ingebracht door “mount c: /home/peter/Documents”

Heb overigens geen idee hoe DOXBox naar een azerty klavier te laten luisteren. Heb je het juiste toetsenbord in Gnome (System>Preferences>Keyboard)?

Ik probeer Pro-Gen in een Dosbox te laten werken op een laptop met enkel Xubuntu 9.10. DOSbox installeren en opstarten is uiteraard geen probleem. Mijn Pro-Gen staat op een andere computer (desktop pc met Windows XP). Hoe ga ik te werk?? Ik heb getracht een C: te “mounten” op mijn laptop maar ik krijg enkel bericht “C: doesn’t exist”. Ik heb mijn pg30 map nog niet overgebracht van mijn pc.

p.s. De DOSbox reageert enkel op een qwerty toetsenbord, niet bijzonder handig. Is er een manier om dat naar azerty om te zetten. Mijn laptop heeft een frans azerty klavier!

The pyramid as we are given it reasons from a ground level view of the matter.
The “pyramid is in a “box”. The “box” is hollowed out in such a way as to receive a “pyramid” (it is “pyramid shaped” inside when looking into it).
There are “three pyramids” in the construction of the one we see above the surface at ground level. “Two” are set one on top of the other, forming a “diamond” shape (or bottom to bottom, giving up six points). The third is formed by “cutting” the “box” in such a way as to create for section, which when turned back to back, form the third pyramid. These “three collectively form the whole pyramid” (we only see what above ground level.
The “summit” is not missing! It is down inside the collective pyramid.
Seems pretty odd no shows us how the underground (retaining walls) of the pyramid exist. No one reasons from how it is set in place. It is in a box. The path way around the pyramid, the walkway, is the “lip of the box”. We always get cut away graphs or illustrations showing us the interior. Where are the walls or flooring?
By the way, you cannot create a true pyramid unless you reason from a “rectangle” (refer to Egyptians veiwing the world as existing in a “rectangle” supported by for colunms (The “box” cut into four smaller pyramids, and when placed back to back create a pyramid of its own). In “mytholoy” it is found in stories dealing with the “sacred mountains”, like the one of “Moses” whom came down from the “mountain” and Broke the Tables” (tablets).
When “moses’” two tablets are brought together they form a “square” from the two “rectangles”. Those were the rules (laws) written on those “tablets” for breaking the “tables”. If you do not know “tables” and “tablets” are used by the different sources in translations of the “Moses” tale. How many sides are formed by three pyramids? These are the “twelve tribes”! By saying that “Moses” came down off the moutain, it is reference for his having found the “missing summit” down inside the pyramid, and then broke the “tables”.
Good luck, you will need it, more than you know.
